FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our watches are made with sapphire glass (superior scratch and shock resistance). All Duopod and Chronopod are since end of kickstarter campaign equipped with Sapphire glasses.
88 grams for the Duopod, 98 grams for the Chronopod, 118 grams for the Megapod. Contrary to popular belief, weight does not determine the quality of the watch.
Japanese Quartz movements called Miyota. (the brand) Running with a battery, 2 years life. In Megapod Automatic a Miyota 9039.
With a 5 ATM watch, you can take your shower but cannot dive. The normal atmospheric pressure at sea level is 1 ATM. (ATM for atmospheres) So fine for showering, splashes, rain, snow, snorkeling but we do not recommend to swim with it as salt and pools products are not very watches friendly. (also not in a sauna). And please do no use the Chronopod pushers or adjust crown under water.
All Ikepod watches come with a two year (2 year) manufacturing and workmanship defect warranty. Please refer to the warranty terms and conditions which accompanied your watch at purchase.
The old Ikepods and particularly the round models with top case assembly (Hemipode, Isopode, Megapode, Horizon) require a specific tool which only certain watchmakers possess. Please contact Ikepod for a list of the independent watchmakers who have the necessary tools to service the vintage Ikepods in Great Britain, Cyprus and in Switzerland: email@example.com.
You can change your bracelet with one (since 2020) or two screwdrivers (2018-2020) and a tutorial available on the Ikepod Watches YouTube channel. Only Ikepod bracelets are compatible with the Ikepod case lugs.
We no not produce anymore the first version of straps, as the design of the buckle was took over in 2012 by a tech giant,. We do not carry Manattee and Seaslug straps. We have some Solaris straps. If you own a vintage round model contact us, some vintage NOS straps could be found on the web.
